Free iPhone ringtones, for those that don't know how yet.

This can all be done within iTunes. It's fairly simple, once you do it once or twice you'll have the hang of it in no time.

1. In iTunes, find the song you want as a ringtone in ur library.
2. Right click on it and go to get info and open the options tab.
3. This takes the longest but is easy... Check the boxes that say start and stop time and change the times to the part of the song you want. Listen to the song and get the exact time. Ringtones can be up to 40 seconds long!! Click ok and it saves the settings.
4. Right click on song again and select create AAC version. You'll see another file that is created right under your original song. IMPORTANT: Be sure to go back in the options of original song and uncheck start and stop times boxes or else thats all that will play is that clip.
5. Right click on file you just created and open in windows explorer. If .m4a file extension is not present then go to step 6, if it is seen then go to step 7.
6. Open tools and folder options at top of folder. Under view tab make sure you have view file extensions enabled.
7. Change .m4a to .m4r - This will automatically change the file to a ringtone.
8. Add ringtone file to iTunes and sync!! I recommend creating a ringtone folder to keep all your ringtones in. If you delete them after syncing then they will be removed anfter your next sync.
