Windows Xp
- Please ensure that USB data cable to USB port on your computer is unplugged; also ensure that all connection to internet must be stopped
- Insert CD in to the CD-ROM. The default driver directory is E: ZTE_USBDriver. Click the folder “USB Driver”. Click ZTE_USB Driver
- System pops up the interface [ZTE_USBDriver-installshield wizard] click “Next”
- Click “Next” on “Destination Folder”
- Click “install” to begin the installation at “Ready to install the program”
- Click “Finish”, USB driver program is installed and the installation is stopped for the moment
- Connect ZTE set with PC through USB data cable (available with each set)
- If “USB Device Not Recognized” appear on the computer Terminal hasn't powered on (Power-Off the Terminal and then Power-On the Terminal again). When Terminal is powered on “Found New Hardware” will appear on the computer
SYSTEM WILL FOLLOW EITHER OR COMBINATION OF FOLLOWING STEPS
- A found new hardware wizard window will pop up asking for “Can windows connect to windows update to search the software”. Select “No, not this time” and then click “Next”
- Another “Found New hardware Wizard” window will appear on the computer. Select “Install from a list specific location (Advanced)” and click “Next” to continue
- A new window will appear asking “Please choose your search and installation options”, select “Don't search I will choose the driver to install” and click “Next”
- System will pop up another interface asking [Hardware Type], choose “Modem” and click “Next', click “Have Disk”, “Browse”, C:/Program FilesZTEZTE_USBDriverWin2k&XP ZTEdm2k&XP, click “OK” and click “Next”.
- A window with warning message will appear; click “Continue anyway” and wait until a window appears stating “completing the found new hardware wizard”, Click “Finish”
- To verify modem installation select “Control Panel”, “Phone and Modem”, “Modem”, select” Qualcomm USB Modem” and click “Properties, Diagnostics, Query modem” if system affirms successful installation of modem follow next step, or else repeat all previous steps
Add Network Connection - Click START, PROGRAM, ACCESSORIES, COMMUNICATION, NETWORK CONNECTIONS
- Click “create a new network connection”
- The system will pop up the interface [New connection wizard], click “Next”
- Select “set up my connection manually” and click “Next”
- Select “Connect using a dial up modem” and click “Next”
- Select “Qualcomm USB MODEM” and click “Next”
- The system will pop up [connection name]. Enter name (V PTCL) and click “Next”
- The system will pop up [phone number to dial]. Enter #777 and click “Next”
- Enter “User Name” and “Password” and click “Next”
- User Name = vwireless@ptcl.com small letters
- Password = ptcl
- Click “Add a short cut to this connection to my desktop” and click “Finish”
Start Connection
- Double click the shortcut on desktop or Go to START, CONNECT TO, and SHOW ALL CONNECTIONS, Double click V PTCL
- Click “DIAL”
- Once you get connect status of your connection, V PTCL displays connected.
