Samsung Nexus S 4G Smartphone Now Available at Sprint
Google has revealed that the Samsung Nexus S 4G smartphone is now available through Sprint for only $199.99 with a two-year contract or for $549 without a contract.
This 4G version of Google’s Nexus S smartphone, which is powered by the Android 2.3 operating system, boasts a 1 GHz processor, a 4-inch power-saving super AMOLED touchscreen display with gently curved glass, 16 GB of storage memory, 5 megapixel front- and rear-facing cameras with LED flash and built-in near-field communications as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Additionally, Google revealed that the device is the only version of Android to support Google Talk with voice and video chat as the Nexus S contains no carrier bloatware or user interface tweaks from phone makers. More so, users can entertain themselves with the incorporated MP3 player. It is also equipped with a 1500mAh battery that puts out around six hours of talk time.
Manufactured by Samsung and branded by Google, the Nexus S 4G is also being offered by Bestbuy for only $150 with the two-year commitment.
“In addition to the UMTS-capable Nexus S, today we’re introducing Nexus S 4G from Google, available for Sprint. Nexus S 4G is part of the Nexus line of devices which provide a pure Google experience and run the latest and greatest Android releases and Google mobile apps. We co-developed Nexus S 4G with Samsung to tightly integrate hardware and software and highlight the advancements of Gingerbread. Nexus S 4G takes advantage of Sprint’s high-speed 4G data network”, said Google in a statement.
